Maybe someone here has some ideas.I've recently upgraded my system, and when I try to run Impression (standalone or as a plugin in Photoshop, etc.) I get very flaky behaviour. My understanding is that system RAM (of which there should be plenty) is allocated as needed to graphics tasks. According to Intel, that means I should have up to 16GB available for graphics.Could the graphics be the issue? I presume anyone running a laptop would generally be using integrated graphics, so why would it be different on a desktop? If not that, what could be the issue?I can get Impression to work in Studio, although Studio itself is rather laggy on the new system. I was looking forward to some fairly blazing image processing with the new computer. Photoshop, CorelDRAW, PaintshopPro, etc, all work great. But I'm sorely disappointed in the performance I am getting with Topaz products.Impression - Lagging, Hanging, CrashingID #170376 5 days agoPosts: 9Participants: 5.
Wrote:Is there somewhere that we can get more information on the noise suppression and blur removal functions? I checked the FAQ, but there's nothing there on this subject even for the old versions. My first few attempts at selecting settings for these were pretty much trial and error, and it would be nice to know what each one is actually doing rather than guessing.By the titles it would seem that they are opposites of each other so you would use them as one or the other but not both. That would mean we have 5 steps of blur or sharpen control on either side of neutral, but perhaps that's not how it works. If they can both be used at the same time, does it blur out the noise first, and then sharpen what's left behind?Posts: 1Participants: 1. What puzzled me is that the option 'Use maximum quality AI models' frequently produces worse quality output than the standard faster processing in areas without detail like skies, I get noise even with Suppress Noise at High.
Also, in areas with high frequency detail like trees, grass, rocks etc. I get better detail with Use maximum quality AI models turned off.Is it just me? Does anybody else have the same experience? Please see below some examples: (click on the images for full resolution). Wrote:I just rcvd the email announcing the new commercial rel. It alerted me to the update. And, ran it with no incident. But, after the update the old GAI desktop icon is on my PC's desktop. Not the 'sexy' shield style icon that came up with the beta test (or the orange counterpart to Sharpen AI's icon). Was it supposed to keep the old BW Topaz gemstone desktop icon for the new vers.

Using the web site 'or a small, free program called StereoPhoto Maker from 'it is possible to extract a very good quality depth map from your pictures.I am a total Topaz fan and use Topaz Labs for all my editing. I would like to be able to load a mask from file, for all my adjustments and plugins. I can do so in Affinity Photo but the workflow is not very intuitive. I have used depth maps for all types of adjustments such as HSL, Impressions, & basic adjustments.I feel this would give a lot of power to the Topaz Suit.
The ability to load a mask from file would also permit the use of bump maps and other types of maps.Best regards,John Nicholson.Posts: 1Participants: 1. Then it would open in PS6.I noticed also that in Bridge, the.tif (from Gigapixel) had the Windows generic picture icon (instead of the actual image), and the.tiff (from Gigapixel) had the Topaz Studio icon, but no image.I never had this problem with the previous version of Gigapixel.Posts: 8Participants: 3. Web installers are not acceptable or realistic in a managed environment.
I need a full.pkg installer or full.app to be able to deploy this software.Also. There doesn't seem to be any way to assign the software license. You just buy it and that account owns it. How am I supposed to assign this to a user?
There doesn't seem to be any consideration for users holding multiple licenses either. Finally, I never received any email confirmation after my purchase.Posts: 3Participants: 2.
